India’s relations with Hong Kong are rich in history, dating back to the 1840s, crisscrossing the Opium Wars and a common colonial past. The countries have been trading partners for two centuries; their relationship is infused with warmth and mutual understanding of each other’s multi-cultural ethos. Hong Kong is home to a large Indian diaspora, many of whom came there more than a century and half ago.
The third and 2017 chapter of India by the Bay will take place between 17th to 25th February at multiple venues. The festival promises an eclectic mix of artistic expression through a week-long exposition.
