A History of Indians in Shanghai, is a nuanced work of history that chronicles the struggles, the stories and the triumphs of the Indian diaspora in Shanghai. The book is co-edited by award-winning novelist Mishi Saran and Dr. Zhang Ke, Executive Director, Asia Research Center at Fudan University. The book will be in focus at an evening panel discussion that includes both the editors & Madhavi Thampi, author of the seminal work Indians in China, 1800-1949.
